Some of our 6th Grade students in the Young Business Leaders Signature School Program traveled to Salisbury University today to experience an investing lesson in the Finance Lab and for a tour of the campus. This experience was sponsored by the Maryland Council on Economic Education and Salisbury University-Perdue School of Business. This is a great extension for our students who are participating in the Stock Market Challenge Game with Mr. Yates. Next week the remaining program students will get to travel to SU for this valuable experience.

Next week will be an exciting one for Wicomico County Public Schools, as educators gather from around the school system April 10th for the annual Wicomico Teacher of the Year Celebration. The 26 semifinalists who were named earlier this year, and who took part in several scored activities, will find out that night who is one of the four finalists, and which finalist is the new Teacher of the Year. Good luck to all of them, and congratulations on being such excellent representatives of the teachers in their school or special program.
Thanks to Jen Seay Campbell for donating her photographic services to take the semifinalists "class photo" shown here. She also took a professional portrait of each semifinalist.
While we wait for next Thursday, here's a chance for all of us to get to know the 2024-2025 school year's semifinalists for Wicomico Teacher of the Year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r03E_-02834. This video will also be airing on PAC 14.

Students in Ms. Shires YBL ELA class recently participated in a marketing collboretive effort showcasing the Young Business Leaders Program. Students worked to create initial designs of a brochure highlighting key program atributes and submitted them. Program leadership then determined the best looking design, collected elements from many of the other submissions and made final edits for the final public product.

A huge thank you goes out to Mr. Michael Jensen, Director of Entrepreneurship at Salisbury University, and Mr. Joshua Killen, Makerspace Specialist, for a fantastic day.

Families, be on the lookout for future food distributions!😊

On Tuesday, March 18th the WMS 8th grade chorus participated in the 2025 Eastern Shore Choral Directors Association District Choral Festival. The choir was evaluated by 4 judges in 7 critical areas of performance and also their music literacy abilities. They performed amazingly well and received an overall "Excellent" rating from the judges.
They performed complex literature, 3 different genres of music, in 3 languages, and in 3 vocal parts.
Not only did they shine on stage but their "sportsmanship" towards other students performing throughout the day was also noted.
We are so proud of our Warrior Singers! "Many Warriors, One Voice!" 💛🖤
