On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, City Stage Program for the Arts welcomed families to the first annual Graphic Arts Showcase. From cat themed coffee shops, to a movie poster for the next physiological thriller, our students have been hard at work creating anything they can imagine on our iMac’s using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and their never ending creativity.

The Maryland Council on Economic Education sponsors an annual online Stock Market Game for teachers and student teams that teaches about the stock markets, the American economic system, and the global economy. It’s not just a game, it’s education for life for the hundreds of Maryland teams from elementary through high school that compete. Groups of students were given virtual dollars to invest once they had researched and identified stocks they wanted to purchase and trade. Not only did the Young Business Leaders Program have a winning team for the Stock Market Game recognized at the Fall WCPS Awards and Recognition Night, the program also had a winning Stock Market Game team for the Spring. Pictured representing the team and the Young Business Leaders Program at the Spring WCPS Awards and Recognition Night were Musab Ahmed, Aiden Brewington, Taylor Halsey, Faith Tingle, Mr. Brian Yates (Teacher/Coach), and Mr. James McCrobie (Student Achievement and Assessment Facilitator).

City Stage students in our Graphic Arts Track were tasked with using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop in our iMac Design Studio to re-design book covers. Our City Stage Program for the Arts students represented the program at The Great STEM+ Expo held at Salisbury Middle School today. It's the weekend y so there's no school, but it's still a great time in Wicomico County Public Schools to:

-Take part in The Great STEM(+) Expo for all ages, happening 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School. Free and open to all.

-Visit the Pridelands with the cast and crew of the Prince Street Elementary Drama Club's "The Lion King Kids," shows at the school at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

-Browse through hundreds and hundreds of excellent pieces of artwork in the annual Wicomico County Student Art Show, in the Paul Sarbanes Branch of the Wicomico Public Library in Downtown Salisbury. Open library hours Saturday and Sunday, and then it closes.

-Take a seat in the Wicomico High School Auditorium for the Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre's "The Little Mermaid," whose cast includes some of our talented students. Shows at 11 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

May 8: Progress reports published for the 4th marking term. Be sure to review and discuss with the student, to support the student in finishing the year strong.

The Great STEM(+) Expo! Saturday, May 9, 2026 ~ 9:00 am-2:00 pm Salisbury Middle School An event for all ages from all schools to engage in STEM+ activities through hands-on exploration. Guest speakers, demonstrations of cool technology and the chance to play and learn all while having fun!

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 7th Grade Young Business Leaders welcomed families and guests to a showcase evening highlighting businesses developed through creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Guests were invited to explore and support our entrepreneurs by selecting items through donations to the program as well as voting on their top three businesses of the night. Guests also had the opportunity to vote on one outstanding student of the evening.
