These scholars had an amazing time participating in the virtual Community Helpers field trip! 🚓👩⚕️📚 They got a special behind-the-scenes look at some of the incredible people who keep our community running. Students toured the Police Department, Mayor's Office, Fire Department, TidalHealth, Wicomico County Public Library, and WMDT TV Station. What an experience!

Note for Monday, Dec. 8: Term 2 mid-term progress reports will come out Dec. 8 for students in grades 1-12. Be sure to review the progress report with the student to celebrate successes and set goals at the midpoint of the marking term.

Our thanks to everyone who took time to nominate one of our outstanding teachers for Wicomico Teacher of the Year. When nominations closed last Tuesday Wicomico County Public Schools had received 803 submissions, so we know our community appreciates its teachers.
We look forward to the recognition of nominees by our schools in December, and then in January the quarterfinalists and semifinalists will be announced. One of the semifinalist teachers will be named the next Wicomico Teacher of the Year on April 9. Excited to find out which of our outstanding teachers that will be!
