
The JMB Career Fair is just around the corner, happening on April 11th! It's the perfect opportunity for 11th and 12th grade students to explore future career paths and connect with professionals. Whether you're thinking about college, the military, or jumping straight into the workforce, there’s something for everyone! See Mrs. O'Barsky in E212 if you don't already have a resume for the Career Fair.
But that's not all — we’re also celebrating Spirit Week leading up to the Career Fair! 🙌🎉 Don't forget to dress up and show your school spirit!



Current 9th and 10th graders, if you are interested in working over the summer, attend the summer CREW interest meeting at Parkside High School on April 8th & make sure you RSVP to Mrs. Cornish by email.

10th and 11th grade students can sign up on SchooLinks to attend a college information session with an admissions counselor from Middlebury College. He will answer any questions about the college application process, moving away from home, financial aid and more!


There will be an interest meeting for the TAM program on April 2nd during Flex in the Cafeteria. Students can sign up on SchooLinks. See Mrs. Schuchart or Mrs. O'Barsky with questions.


Students in 9th and 10th grade had the opportunity to learn about the AP program at JMB through the AP Potential and Interest assembly held in March. A panel of current AP students, AP teachers, counselors, and an SU admissions counselor answered student questions about courses offered, benefits of AP classes, and much more. With scheduling for next year just around the corner, JMB students should talk to their counselors about our AP program.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer will hold a Superintendent's Open Door Session from 4-6 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 19). Time with the superintendent is on a first-come, first-served basis, no appointment needed. The Open Door Session will take place at the school system's main office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Salisbury.


Mr. Allan Hall has been awarded a scholarship from the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association. Congratulations!


On Friday the Concert Choir traveled to North Dorchester to perform at our District Choral Festival. We are so proud to announce that the choir received a Superior rating which is the highest rating possible from the Judges.


The career internship course is now open for students to apply for the Fall of 2025. This is a great opportunity for students to earn high school credits for working part time jobs! Fill out the google form link if you are interested in more information.

On Friday February 28, JMB's French and Spanish Honor societies completed a multicultural scavenger hunt at the Smithsonian museums in Washington D.C.









On Friday, JMB seniors participated in our annual Shore Scholarship Day with Salisbury University. JMB had 75 members of its senior class admitted to SU. Congratulations to Connor Fadely for winning the $1,000 scholarship raffle!











Interest in the Coast Guard?


Last week, Wicomico students from the ACE Mentor Program participated in their final presentation night, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
• What is ACE? A program that introduces students to careers in architecture, construction, and engineering by connecting with professionals in the field.
• Project Focus: Students designed a transportation hub for Salisbury.
• Scholarships Awarded: Over $10,000 in scholarships were distributed by ACE last Thursday.
• Community Engagement: Mayor Taylor provided valuable feedback on student presentations.
• Community Member Highlight: Adam Gardner (Salisbury Airport Manager) was honored by students to supporting them and organizing a field trip to the airport previously.
• Alumni Spotlight: City Council President D’Shawn Doughty, an ACE graduate, attended and shared his insights with Wicomico students
STUDENTS REPRESENTING JMB were Jericho Lopez, Zachary Brennan, Nathanael Groth, Nicole Lin, Harish Chandrasekaran, Joshua Howard, Austin Patterson, and Peyton Cooper.











On March 20th, during PTA night, School Counselors will be hosting a Dual Enrollment information session and FAFSA workshop in the media center. Representatives from the financial aid office of UMES will be available to help students and parents with their FAFSA. Counselors will be presenting important information on the Dual Enrollment program for students new to the Dual Enrollment program.


The class of 2025 senior shirts are now available to purchase. Order forms can be found at the school store or in the class of 2025 google classroom. Return to Mrs. Webster, Mrs. Schuchart or the main officer with the money. Shirts for students are $5. Family shirts are $15. Credit cards can be accepted if purchase is over $10. ALL orders are due by 3/14.


In addition to having a variety of student presenters and hands on activities, others present will be the Earth Club's " Biosphere in a Bottle" workshop, SNHS telescope demonstration, 3D printing lab demo, the JMB Food Pantry will be open and light refreshments provided.
